In Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands, everything reminds you of times gone by. Like the Grote Markt, the Grote Kerk and medieval buildings in the lower town. Also worthwhile is a look at the underground passages in Museum De Bastei. In addition, Nijmegen is a good place for shopping, while you can enjoy delicious food and drinks at the outdoor cafes on the Waalkade. And then we haven't talked about sporting activities such as the Nijmegen Four Day Marches and the Batavians Run.

Windsurfing Get to know the beautiful sport of windsurfing. In a one-and-a-half-hour lesson, they will teach you the basics of windsurfing. Can you already windsurf? Then you can hire windsurfing equipment at our Surf & Sup. Wingfoilen Wingfoiling is the new and fast-growing sensation in water sports. Wingfoiling brings together the best elements of windsurfing and kitesurfing and is a new form of surfing. They will teach you the basics of wingfishing in a one-and-a-half-hour lesson. Renting equipment is only possible if you have already had a lesson or can wingfoil.

There are different cycling and/or walking routes to discover in the area of EuroParcs De Kraaijenbergse Plassen. Be inspired, choose the best one and go out into nature together!

The Kraaijenbergse Plassen consists of several lakes surrounded by fine beaches. The nature reserve is a popular recreation and water sports area that you can explore by boat, canoe or surfboard. Do you prefer diving in the underwater world? Diving is also possible here! Moreover, the area is popular with cyclists and hikers and there are several routes mapped out.

The Nijmegen Four Days Marches are famous. Every year, this unique walking event through wooded surroundings attracts more than 45,000 participants from all over the world with just one goal: to win the coveted Four Days Marches Cross. Around the Nijmegen Marches the Four Days Festivities also take place. This means seven days of celebration with lots of music and fun. Fun for both participants and tourists!

About 25 minutes' drive from our park you will find Golf Course Het Rijk van Nijmegen.

Het Rijk van Nijmegen is the second largest golf course in the Netherlands with 45 holes. Relaxation and fun on the beautiful golf course near the beautiful old city of Nijmegen. Handicap 54 is already sufficient to play.

No golf experience? Golf Course Het Rijk van Nijmegen also offers various clinic options. Our reception can reserve a start time for you and, because you are staying at our park, you will receive a reduced rate.

In the Staatsbossen near Sint Anthonis cycling, mountain biking and hiking routes connect wooded landscapes, heathlands and sand drifts. You can choose from short routes from 2 km, but you can also combine them into a longer route of up to 26 km.

Everything in Toverland is pure magic. Go on an adventure in the splashing 'Djengu River' wild water course or discover your own magical powers in the Magic House. The absolute highlight of Toverland is 'Troy', the fastest, highest and longest wooden roller coaster in the Benelux. Only for real daredevils! Are you up to it?

Overloon is surrounded by green forests, in which various cycling, MTB and walking routes have been set out. A beautiful bicycle route is the Freedom Route. It starts at the War Museum in Overloon and takes you through Holthees, Vierlingsbeek and Stevensbeek.

Archaeology museum De Bastei gives you a look into the underground passages of the city. Deep underground, between the Valkhofheuvel and the Waal river, you go back in time 2000 years and the history of Nijmegen is up for grabs. You can see the remains of a Roman quay wall, a part of a city castle and the remains of a defensive tower. Super fun also for children!

Expedition in the dark Step into everyday life with a guide or join the journey. And discover what you see when you see nothing. Put your senses on edge. What do you hear? What do you smell? What do you feel? A pitch-dark world will open up for you, in which you and your personal guide will discover what you can do without sight. At muZIEum, you will experience this yourself in one of the expeditions they offer. Discover the power of your senses and be surprised by the (in)visible!

Go on an expedition and explore areas that are home to cheetahs, tigers and monkeys. See waddling penguins at Boulders Beach, be surrounded by ring-tailed lemurs in Madagascar or stand face to face with white or Siberian tigers in Jangalee.

Monkey Town Wijchen is the ideal play destination for children up to 14 years old. With no fewer than 7 slides, 2 football pitches, laser game, a toddler zone, ball pit, lego cage and the ultimate climbing course, there is always fun and adventure.

On Estate Tongelaar of Brabants Landschap it is so quiet that you imagine yourself in the French countryside. Here you'll find both Castle Tongelaar and Farmhouse the Benedenhof. On Wednesdays and Sundays the castle is open and you can visit the exhibition. You can also visit the coffee house, the brewery and the field store.

Discover more than 300 animals at Kleve Zoo. Come face-to-face with sheep, be amazed by the cute red pandas, the curious pinch monkey and the playful baby claw. The zoo is a fun experience for the whole family. For children, there are two petting zoos and a large playground.

In a 500 year old tower you can discover the history of Cuijk and its surroundings. The collection consists of archaeological finds from prehistory, Roman times and the Middle Ages. Climb the tower and enjoy a magnificent view of the surroundings!

Museum Orientalis is the oldest open-air museum in the Netherlands. Here the colorful worlds of Judaism, Christianity and Islam come to life. In the 30-hectare national monument you will find three themed villages where you can walk through the streets and discover the different cultures, crafts and religion.

Just outside Nijmegen you will experience an unforgettable day out. Tivoli Amusement Park is a paradise for the little ones. Get on the merry-go-round, bump into each other in the bumper cars or take to the water in a banana boat. The roller coaster is a screaming experience, while the haunted house 'Het Griezelbos' is not for the faint-hearted. Do you dare?

Have you ever seen anything like this? There used to be a lot of these prickly hedges in our country. They served as yard dividers and the wood was used to make tools. If you visit the Maasheggen near Boxmeer at the right time, all hawthorn and blackthorn hedges are in bloom, usually around mid-May.

Vast heathlands, beautiful forests and a rich history characterize the Mookerheide nature reserve. There was a lot of fighting here during the Second World War, but also in the Eighty Years' War this was a true battlefield. You will find two entrenchments, defensive structures from which you could see the enemy coming from afar. Nowadays you can mainly enjoy the peace and quiet on foot or by bike. Keep your ears open, because Different species of woodpeckers make their sounds here. In the evening you can hear the nightjar.

Here on St. John's Mountain, the going is up and down. Winding paths take you over the fairytale-like estate consisting of wooded hills, marshes, crystal clear streams and fields. Along the way, with a little luck you may spot a roe deer. Walk to an ancient water mill, the Bovenste Plasmolen from 1725 or to the Helkuil where groundwater bubbles up. Here you can climb a staircase that has been in existence since 1880.

On the border of North Brabant and Limburg lies Golf Course Overloon. The different heights provide a fun challenge on the golf course. You will also find various water features with rocks and even a waterfall. Golf Course Overloon is suitable for both beginners and advanced golfers.
